How to add rss feeds to to a page on my website?

I have submmited my url to yahoo to be included in search listings, but they keep requesting my feeds source.


I can find feeds, but dont know how to get them into my web page. I also have no idea what to expect when some news feed starts on my site . Please, no just copy the rss button and paste on your web page I'm an old codger and need someone who can explain things to an old man in very simple terms.


I have searched through similar questions on yahoo answers and also through rss forums. Seems no one has a simple way of explaining it.
