I see RSS everywhere but I have no clue what it's for. Guess I'm behind a little..
Someone please explain RSS Feed to me and why it's a good thing to use/have?
Seems that you need to do a little bit of reading. No need to worry, I've just created a webpage full of archived articles from my own learning about RSS. Feel free to visit and pick related articles that will answer your question. Best part of it, Google also recommending other sites that can help you more in learning. Visit them today... Wish you the best!
Reply:go to www.live.com theres some good help files on there about how to use rss feeds and put them into your own personal webpage. Basically an RSS feed is an XML document that can be read and formatted to your taste (or the taste of the website that is consuming the XML)
Reply:RSS is just that..."Really simple syndication" which basically means that you can 'syndicate' a stream of information quickly, simply, and extremely cheaply over the internet provided that someone has an RSS reader on the other end.
It's a great way to stay up-to-date with the news, movies, music, and most anything that you're interested in learning about. Yahoo offers many RSS feeds, in fact, you can even offer an RSS feed to your friends on your 360 page so that they can display your latest up-to-date postings in your 360 Blog.
Pretty Neat, huh?
