Reply:Read an explanation of RSS and how that relates to My Yahoo pages here: http://developer.yahoo.com/rss/ .

The general help page has instructions on how to use the RSS feed module on the Y!360 space:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/pro...

Then, the Yahoo team's blog has a post on the subject at -

As for connecting your group to your 360 space, just copy and paste the direct link to your group on wherever a URL is accepted. For example, as your "Home Page" in the Profile Information module, in your Blog Roll, in your Blast, in a Blog Entry. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/pro... http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/pro... and http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/blo... for more information.

If your group website has an RSS feed button of its own, you can try adding the group's feed to your Y!360:

- Click on the "XML/RSS" button, select the URL found in the address bar of your browser, then use "Ctrl-C" on your keyboard to copy that address.

- Click the "Add a Feed (via RSS)" in your Feeds module on your "My Page" in 360. Use "Ctrl-V" to paste the URL into the "Add a feed" space in that page. When you're done, click the "Save" button below.

NOTE: Please note that feeds are updated on a schedule, so it may take up to 2 weeks before your feeds appear on Yahoo! 360.

WARNING: Getting the link to be accepted without an error can take SEVERAL tries. I mean, SEVERAL. No kidding, even if you have the correct URL. The module is buggy. But I have eventually been successful in every feed that I've tried to add. See my answers here for tips: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... and http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... .

If you want to make your Y!360 blog a RSS feed on your groups page (and your group's website has that capability to display feeds from other sites) or you want to add a feed of your blog to your "My Yahoo" page:

- Click "My Blog" and then click "Edit Blog Settings" page. Make sure that you have set viewing of your blog to "Public" or "Everyone". Select the checkbox next to "Yes, publish my blog as an RSS 3.0 feed," then the orange XML button appears on your blog. When your readers click on that button, your blog's feed is added to their newsreader software.

There is also a button that has a plus sign next to "My Yahoo!." Your blog's RSS feed is automatically added to a person's My Yahoo! pages, if that button is pressed.
Reply:RSS is a standard format for syndicating content on the Internet. The content can be anything! Often information contained in an RSS feed is syndicated on other sites which expands its reach.

Website visitors love RSS because they choose which feeds they wish to subscribe to, if at any point they are unhapy with the content contained in the RSS feed they simply unsubscribe and no longer receive notification of feed updates.

RSS is really a win, win for both subscribers and publishers.

In order to get a better understanding of how RSS works download an RSS reader or use a web aggregator and subscribe to an RSS feed (they are usually indicated by a small orange icon).
