What is RSS?

Place one on your website (home page) and it will update automatically. very useful when you know how to use one.

Think of it as something like sending mail to a list of subscribers who have asked for information on a particular subject. Instead of mailing out a brochure, news release, or similar item, it is sent out as html and looks much like a web page when viewed.





RSS feeds are not sent to you like e mail. Rather you tell the RSS issuer to send it to your RSS account. RSS accounts can be set up with Google, Yahoo, and other places. You go to your account to get the update.





RSS is not limited to product announcements. It can be news events focused to your interest (e.g. a given company's press releases), sales bulletins, etc.
