What an RSS Feed? What does it do on websites? Does it have a function?
RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. It is usually used to tell the subscribers there is new content on a website, but it can also be used to communicate just about anything. For example, on my website http://ww2db.com , you can subscribe to this feed http://ww2db.com/feedgen.php?feed=images... to be notified when I added new photographs to the website.
RSS is written in XML and requires special software to parse it. Thunderbird, Firefox, and many other popular software packages can all do it.
I believe they are good for websites. I have a significant amount of traffic flowing into my website via my RSS feeds on a daily basis.
Reply:Youtube has videos explaining RSS.

Reply:RSS feeds are the computer-parseable format of a web page you're looking at. They're used by news robots, and portal software to take the site's content, and distribute it.
